Mark Firmin to Head ACOM’s Healthcare Division; Brings 11 Years as ACOM Executive to New Assignment

Atlanta, Georgia, January 22, 2009 – Mark Firmin, senior vice president and an 11-year veteran of the executive ranks at ACOM Solutions, Inc., has been named general manager of the company’s Healthcare Division, it was announced today by ACOM CEO Patrick McMahon.

In his new position, Firmin is responsible for the full scope of the division’s activities, including documentation and practice management software development, sales and support; chiropractic consulting services, and billing/collection services. He replaces Gregg Church, who resigned to pursue personal interests.

“Since joining the company, Mark has consistently demonstrated extraordinary executive capabilities and commitment to company goals and customer interests,” McMahon said. “In his new post, his focus shifts to the pressing documentation, administrative and financial challenges facing the healthcare community. His energy and his exceptional abilities in leadership, analysis and problem-solving equip him well to support ACOM’s drive to bring modernization, efficiency and profitability to chiropractors and a growing group of related healthcare disciplines.”

Immediately prior to being named to the new post, Firmin was senior vice president of marketing and product management. In addition, he worked closely with Senior Consultant Bharon Hoag to expand the size, scope and range of services of the ACOM Healthcare Consulting Group.

Firmin joined ACOM's management team as a vice president in February 1999 through the company’s acquisition of Formula One Systems, Inc, where he was vice president of sales and marketing. Subsequently, he also assumed responsibility for ACOM's in-house check production solution for the financial industry. He holds a BA in Business Studies from Sheffield Hallam University, Sheffield England, and an MS in Computer Information Systems from Georgia State University, Atlanta.
