ACOM Health Offers Pain-Free Purchase Plan for RAPID Chiropractic Software; Urges Doctors to Prepare for Stimulus Plan Bonuses

ATLANTA, Georgia, June 18, 2009 – With chiropractors continuing to face financial pressures from third party payers and with the Federal government timeframe for adopting Electronic Medical Records solutions tightening, the ACOM Health Division of ACOM Solutions, Inc. has announced a plan that allows doctors to purchase the RAPID chiropractic software suite under extremely favorable terms, it was announced today by Senior Vice President Mark Firmin, general manager of the division.

“We have offered terms before, but never so liberal,” Firmin said. “Every doctor qualifies under the new Pain-Free Pricing Plan. No credit approval is required, and the cost of the software and maintenance contract is conveniently spread out over a period of 48 months with ACOM applying only an administration fee. Doctors choosing early pay-off will not be penalized in any way.”

“There is no downside to this offer,” Firmin said. “With little initial outlay, doctors will immediately be able to perform more concise, credible diagnoses, produce more convincing reports, enable a more streamlined patient-staff office experience and quickly be on their way to a more efficient, more productive practice.”

Because the Pain-Free Pricing Plan is financed solely by ACOM no credit approval is required and everyone qualifies.

“This once again demonstrates the importance of Chiropractors aligning themselves with financially strong, stable organizations,” Firmin said. “Privately held, profitable, and now in its 26h year, ACOM is an ideal partner in this regard, with its strength deriving from a multidivisional structure with a broad product line that addresses multiple markets. Chiropractors buying EMR and Practice Management software from ACOM can be confident that the company will be around to support them for the long term.”

Moreover, he said, doctors who sign up now will protect themselves against delays in the bonus payments they can expect under the President’s Electronic Stimulus plan.

“Bonus payments under the plan commence in 2011, but bonuses will be paid on prior year Medicare/Medicaid billings….and that means 2010, which is fast approaching,” Firmin said. “ACOM intends to be compliant with the certification rules and we encourage doctors to act quickly so they are not caught in the last-minute rush.”

With expected certification for the government program, doctors will find that their RAPID system has paid for itself well before their 48-month Pain-Free Payment period is over, he added.
